Professional Experience:  
Maja is our English teacher. She joined the AHSS team in 2022. She graduated English language and literature and is certified both as a teacher and translator. Despite being a teacher for nearly 10 years, Maja has been working on different types of translations such as: literary, legal, television, technical… She even participated in several different translation projects related to education and literature in the country. Before joining the AHSS team, she’s been also working as an English teacher. She attended many conferences, seminars or workshops that contributed to their teaching profile. As a teacher, she helps students acquire the necessary language skills, while encouraging their creativity, individuality and critical thinking in the process of learning. Moreover, she tends to teach students HOW to read literature, i.e. how to interpret the written word.

• Member of the ELTAM (English Language Teachers’ association of Macedonia)

Interests / Hobbies / Goals:  
Maja enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures and different cuisines. She is also interested in learning new languages and she has both active and passive knowledge of several European languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, Greek. Her hobbies include reading, watching TV-shows or movies and singing (but not in front of an audience ).

Fun Facts:  
• Maja was part of a singing choir and “Zlatno Slavejche” festival for several years.
